Spiritual Health Survey

As a church seeking to help one another become total followers of Jesus Christ, our annual Spiritual Health Survey helps us check in on how we’re going. Some people find this to be a helpful moment for personal reflection. As a church, it enables us to celebrate overall progress and identify areas that need investment. It can take as little as 10 minutes to complete and the more people who take part, the more useful the results, so every response matters. The link to this year’s survey will be included in the Senior Pastor Monthly Update that will land in your inbox on August 4th.

Meals on Wheels - bless the community opportunity

Meals on Wheels is a NZ wide community service providing meals to people who are unable to prepare their own meals. In Wellington it is overseen by Capital Coast Health and the meals are delivered by community volunteers. St Aidan's have been providing the volunteers for the route on the Peninsula for a number of years, but their team has recently reduced in size and they're struggling to fill all the roster slots.

The need is for two people (one to drive and one to deliver), one Wednesday a month, to pick up the meals at 11am, deliver them to the homes on the route and return the empty containers. It takes about 1 hour in total, including pick up and return. They are also looking for anyone available to fill in when volunteers are away or sick.

Foundations - Ongoing Discipleship

Multiplying disciple-makers is one of our key focus areas as we seek to become a disciple-making movement transforming Wellington and the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Over the past six months, we have released parts 1 and 2 of Foundations - a guide to help anyone develop personal spiritual practices around reading the Bible, talking to God in prayer and helping others to discover Jesus too. Foundations is designed for small group settings of 1:1 or 1:2 people and is great for anyone who is new to faith or who has never been intentionally supported to discover who Jesus is and obey what he says.

At the end of the initial 28 weeks, we now have a conversation guide for an ongoing discipling relationship. Here you will find examples for deeper conversations around the four aspects of becoming a total follower of Jesus Christ.

If you would like to talk to someone about going through Foundations for yourself, or you would like to be trained to take others through the course, please get in touch with your Location Pastor.

In The End - Forums

As part of our In The End series through the book of Revelation - we are holding three evening meetings for anyone wanting to dive a little deeper into some of the areas that often create questions. There is no need to register for these - simply turn up ready to lean in and learn. Come independently, with a friend or with your Life Group.
